Dale DeGroff has toured throughout the world giving seminars on the history and preparation of American cocktails. His seminar is a comprehensive look at the history of the cocktail, through its Golden Age from the mid 19th to early 20th century, and up through prohibition, chronicling its travel to Europe and the Caribbean. The cocktail in today's market and the rebirth of bartending as a profession is also explored, as Dale demonstrates classic techniques used to prepare cocktails. The seminar was filmed at the Culinary Institute of America to be used as a teaching tool and is available on DVD Making Great Cocktails
